petite poultry

if the sky fell on your head

and no one was around

could you prove it really happened

if it didn't make a sound

if only you felt it

if only you were there

if only you felt it slam down on your hair

it's crazy to think

that no one would believe

they'd say it was just an acorn

that fell from a tree

they'd try to tear you down

call you chicken

make you feel small

but little do they know

one day the sky could fall on them all
