Phaethon's Drivers Ed Disaster

Phaethon failed drives ed

With spectacular grander

He was teased for lack of license

And so sought one to attain

Helios, the instructor rashly made

A promise to the lad

Yet instantly regretted it

when the car pulled from the lot

Phaethon knew nothing of

Turn signals or stop signs

He disregarded blatantly

The white painted crosswalks

Pedestrians leapt from his path

With terror in their eyes

Cyclist fell and cars were crashed

Before his yellow ford

When flashing lights behind him,

Entreated him to stop,

He only then pressed onward,

His foot pressed to the floor

He met his end his hood smashed in

Beneath a poplar tree,

Where there stands today

A monument To stupidity
