Phantasms

Everything on one side of the mirror is real.  Everything on the other side a mere reflection of the real thing.

We saw love and everlasting joy in each others’ eyes.

From where I stood looking into the glass, doubts were falsehoods that would be dispelled, revealing true love as reality underneath.

When I asked you what you saw, you realized that we were standing on opposite sides of the glass.  Doubts were reality, and love was the veil.

Am I looking at you, or a reflection?  Are you looking at me?
