Phantom

I’m an endless adventure A nap in a velvet love sofa Loving in a huge dark library Privately owned moans and groans And no one but books to hear them I’m a never ending river Snaking and twisting through valleys Into the deep Amazon, into a crowded village Into the scorching desert I bow my head to the sun I’m born into time Different people and places I dip my toes into the abyss And dive right in I’m the sleeping ocean floor Woken up by my own transience I make a living, breathing I shake the deep below to life I’m a warm cup of tea On a rainy day, with the one you love Take him away from home Set him next to you Or kiss him goodbye I’m the rumbling sky Watch me come down, Watch me fall asleep on your front porch I’m a forever in a world of swift endings Hold me tight, keep me behind your shut eyes I will never let up Boy, I will never let you down.
