The Phantom of the Past

Silent casket

Letters fill up the basket

Lay out the fallen prophecies

Of all the memories I used to believe

Trembling fingers

Outstretched to linger

For the love who walked out the door

Pain flows through my veins

Concealed all in one place

In my heart you’ll forever stay

Encrypted memories

Trespass the territory

Of everything I used to believe

I give your ghost my plea

I hope with all my might

That it will leave

Tremble within

These scars embody my skin

All I feel is disdain

For the promises you left in vain
