Phases of the Moon

We used to be so close

but now we’re not

you’re moving on without me

and im still caught

caught in a web of lies i told

myself to stay sleep at night but

my eyes were open

dreaming, if reality did exist

why does the future-

our future have to be so damn broken

shattered like that mirror

on the floor from two months ago

man that time flew past

the past was just a hazy memory

of the bliss we went through

the honeymoon phase

the ones just like the moon

quarter one

hand in hand, stepping over the threshold

half

he made dinner tonight after our first fight

im glad to see that were just fine

quarter 3

i have an interview but i

cant find the concealer

Full

I hate to say it but my mother was right

I’ll be catching the first flight to the moon

so i can wander aimlessly about the tea we

could have had this afternoon

but instead we were in the office

the one of the judge, signing those

papers and me being a shy lady bug

I’m to broken to be bruised

im sorry that once you used me

i was no longer useful to you

Dreaming, if reality did exist why does the future

my future have to be so different

why can’t i live my life with blissful

recognition

recognition of the ones left behind and ones lost

but somehow i feel you lost

lost a friend that cared for you through

thick and thin

someone who would have loved you

til the very end

so as the gravity of this earth weighs me down

and the wishes fly around

i wish you the best in all that you do

i love you best friend

i always do, but the the best of me

went with you

So good luck you son of a bitch!

i hope to never see you again

Sincerely, Your Happy Ex-Baby love
