Philosophical - Dark

Blackout

Lights off

No sign of life

Why are we

So scared

So terrified

Of the Dark?

Because it's silent

No breaths

No wind

No heartbeat

No secrets

The Dark is the Death of sound

Night falls

Eyes close

The world sleeps

Why are we

So fearful

So worried

Of the Dark?

Because it's numb

No contact

No wind

No heartbeat

No secrets

The Dark is the Death of touch

Darkness covers

The world

Bathing it

In sleep

Why are we

So paralysed

So intimidated

By the Dark?

Because it's blind

No colour

No light

No heartbeat

No secrets

The Dark is the Death of sight.
