Phobos

Stranded on a deserted Island

with nothing in sight.

The ideal of fear being so dear to me,

like a predator hunting it's prey.

Able and ample to understand,

the situation.

Fear of darkness.

Fear of being preyed upon,

keeping me alive like a mother

protecting her cub.

Without fear who would I be?

Would I be Achilles,

arrow to knee,

a death fitting a warrior.

Fear that evolves man.

Fear that inspires creativity.

Survival from alpha to omega,

fear in my body, mind, and soul.
