Phoenix

I try hiding from the darkness

that your memories hold,

later I embrace it

for it's the reason why I am strong.

I try running from the pain

caused by my own shed blood,

but then I reach for it,

because it shows I've been on my own.

I try running from my demons,

thinking that when they are gone

I will be the innocent child

I was once before.

I keep hiding from my fears

in hope that they disappear

so that my nightmares

would be forever gone......

I keep burning in my weakness

so that from the ashes I could be reborn.
