Phoenix
Breaking, shattering, crashing
Every piece of me
Permenantly cracked beyond repair
I gave you everything I was
And you took advantage
You waited until I had been
Lulled into a sense of security
Until I believed that
Everything would last forever
That we would be
Never ending, nearly eternal
One phone call and
It was all over
My past felt like a lie
My future no longer existed
I had lost everything
So now here I am
Trying to pick up
My jagged shards
And attempt to
Put myself back together again
You broke me but
I am not broken
Like a phoenix
I will rise from the
Ashes you made of me
Like a phoenix
I will be reborn in
The flames of my own making
I am the product of
What you made me
You made me a warrior
A champion for myself
A beautiful, firey Phoenix
Ready to raise hell
