Phone call
It’s as if time freezes and the world is at a halt
Shrieking sirens break the silence
Hurrying me on to pick it up
Time is limited
Its face illuminating and dancing with bright colors
Attained stillness
The mystery is deathly
It could be anyone trying to contact me
My beloved, my father, my best friend
It is the temptress of my emotions
The hardest thing I could do let it ring and not answer you.
