Phone Call

It is the beginning of a new day,

I wake up, mold my hair with clay.

A day for productivity, college ahead of me,

I go with my father to the bank, next to the dollar tree.

We were assisted by a nice lady,

I was nervous, a possible spending spree?

On that day, a debit card was given in my name,

I was excited, a new player with the world as my game.

But a few days later, I was called on my cellular device;

I was saddened, because I had to think twice

I could no longer ignore random calls

I was given new resposibility, basically some boundary walls.

It was on that day I knew that I was an adult,

for I had become a part of society as a result.
