Phone Screen

"Send nudes." is how they start a conversation

As if that's the perfectly tenacious foundation

To build up our relation-

ship on.

They don't know how to as out

Plan out

or go out

On a date,

They're stuck behind phone screens

Phone screens

Makes me was to scream

Grow a pair!

Oh I'm sorry if that's too racy,

I'm caught up in a snap convo

and I'm getting a little hazy...

I have to replay

replay

replay their last snap

saying that I accidentally tap

tap

tapped on accident the screen.

My phone screen.

When what I want to ask is "what were we talking about again?"

or

"maybe we should just be friends"

Because I don't want to offend

by you and your guys,

your boys,

who tell you to talk to me like boys.

to walk over me like boys

to compliment me like boys,

keep us hushed like boys because

well,

we don't want to upset your last girl

sitting right over there,

that seems fair.

For her to not have to see you with me

because you forgot to tell her you were with me...

You just thought she'd figure it out by reading your last text off her phone screen.
