Physical Education

It would be beneficial

Don't you think

To teach us how to throw a punch

Rather than to throw a ball?

To train us not to fight

But to defend

And to run

In case we need to

To show us how to get away

And save ourselves

In case of an emergency

But no

I guess it's better

To give us lackluster exercises

That only a handful of us do

Every other day

Because if I'm cornered

One night while I'm alone

I won't know how to protect myself

But at least I can do jumping jacks
