Physics, Physics, Physics

In physics is a study that I love,

a shelter from a world that makes no sense,

a math explaining why black holes are dense,

and personal in its great guiding shove.

A doctorate is needed for this love,

If I want to research; I'm on the fence,

because through teaching have I made it hence-

I want another to fit like a glove.

The symbols are at best complex, and I

lack a y chromosome that usually

accompanies such a career in STEM.

But I encouraged am and I will be-

those who believe in me will also cry

that no risks taken acts like no dreams dreamt.

Maybe there's no hope for our future,

because we've already ruined our enviornment

but I belief that we, as a society,

could learn from our mistakes

And as a physicist I propose

to teach and learn all I can.
