The Piano and I

I sat down on the bench and moved closer to the keys I extended my arms, this is the best part, it seems I closed my eyes and started to play The song, the one thing getting me through the day Because my piano is what I love most The music was loud, the music was me Before I knew it, I had started to sing All the lights were off and I was all by myself But it was the song that so strongly I felt This is why my piano is what I love most Sometimes I feel like there is nowhere to run That there is not much to do, because the song has already begun Music is free expression, music is for everyone But my piano is mine until the day that I die My piano is what I love most
