Pick a Future

The sweetest wine has the best grapes,

enjoyed by the wealthy and fortunate,

forgetting the picker’s labor and sweat

drinking my hard work, fearing the worst

hope to be fast and pick more,

as I work to provide I become a man,

for their age and illness

keep me on my toes,

work and hope to drink

the wine of my own hard work,

open a book and never return.
