Pick up the Painted Clay

Pick up the painted clay

green like flawless jade

brush off the accumulated dirt

and view the physical hurt

caused by carelessness...

only I seem to understand the value

of the inanimate...

grey steel cars pass by

orange paints the concrete mountains of the city...

A collective sigh

from the world to express

disapproval...

I have picked up the painted clay

green, like fainted jade

I have stretched the boundaries,

I have placed life in the inanimate,

I have played god,

and now I ask that you do too
