Pick Up Sticks

(poems go here) Clouds clouds, Clouds all around Covering you Can you see me now? Tears tears, Tears streaming down Falling on the ground, Can you hear me now? No, don't, Don't you hide from me. What you feel inside Is your perfect enemy. Neither here nor there, Neither right nor fair It doesn't matter Why even care? Words mean so little When they're too late Now here we stand Eyes filled with hate One time, twice Multiplied by six Life is like a game of pick up sticks Time is running short; it breaks like a twig Did you ever think you'd be On a line this thin? No, no Can it be? Here we are, You and me. Face to face, Eye to eye Holding my tongue While watching you cry The wonders of what happens When words eat you alive
