Picking Up Pieces Of Yourself
She told him I'd do anything for you,
He simply said ok,
She changed herself at every turn,
Boy, there were so many turns,
Each time, she'd barely get any acknowledgment,
She kept changing,
Over the years,
She realized,
He didn't love her,
And the biggest problem with loving someone when they don't love you back?
You keep changing for them,
And as the girl now realized,
You'd never really find yourself again,
Was this his favorite band or mine?
You'd be left picking up pieces of yourself.
