Picture Frame

I sit alone in a house, looking above me. A blank picture in a frame is hanging on the wall. What belongs here? A picture that has yet to be painted. One of a house, and in it a family. A man and his wife, both hand in hand. The daughter in the crib and smiling. They seem so happy and they should. After years of suffering they found each other, and in it made a new life. One where they can be hand in hand as it is meant to be. For they all deserve happiness. But that picture has yet to be painted. Just as I have yet to stand at your side.
