Picture on a Wall Framed

Picture on a wall, framed with

Love as the subject—a boy and a

Girl hold each other for a

Moment in time, smiling and

Blissful is the

Memory.

Hardly forgotten yet not remembered

Completely perfect in

Time flies by and before you

Know what?  Love doesn’t

Stop with the click of the

Camera.

Now look at today, the old, the

Gray-haired splendor of

Age that has blossomed and

Deepened is the red of their

Rose.

Warm sweaters and glasses and a

Nest long empty only

Proven is their fantasy of

Forever never lifted from their

Eyes.

For birds always migrate to the same

Place in the ground, grass never leaves its

Roots of love run

Deep in the veins of

Both.

The picture memory always in their

Mind.
