Pictures Left Behind

Picture 1
Picture 2
Picture 3
Picture 4
Every picture filled
With likes upon looks
Each day another guy double clicks
On one of her selfie pics
Yet here i lay
Wishing i could say
Rather than type like the rest
It's been months since
I like to believe i moved on
I like to wish i fell for another
I like to dream of a better ending
Yet here i shall stay
Every night, every day
Seeing prurient comments
Wishing i could break teeth
But then being broken myself
When she replies back
With a kiss...

Angel Davila

Like most teenage guys, i used to think poetry was feminine and "not my style". Then, i met world champion slam poet/ spoken word artist Joaquin Zihuatanejo and had a poetry workshop with him. He changed my whole perception of poetry and now i write free verse in my spare time.
