A Piece
Loving you is like pouring honey;
Slow and rich,
Smooth and think.
I’ve wanted you longer
Than you’ve wanted me.
But you’ve wanted me harder
Than I’ve been willing to see.
More than anything, though,
I just want to know
What goes on inside…
Dig deep- rummaging your mind;
Looking for that missing part,
The piece that’s keeping you from entering my heart.
