Piece of Me

A blank piece of paper

Intimidation, fear

A single sharpened pencil,

What first mark will be made?

What if I hate the outcome?

A graphite line drawn

Then more

One more again.

Music playing softly in the background

Inspiration from other artists,

Much older than me,

Much more famous than me.

Shapes and figures continuously drawn.

Hopes of being remembered for my art.

Hopes of being remember in history as an artist.

Another finished piece.

Another piece of me.
