A Piece of Paper

It's like a piece of paper

blank at first

but you can choose what you write

and as much as you'd like

although

some people scribble too much

and waste space

some people write neatly

planning things out

with only a few mistakes

if you are neither of those

you can crumple it up

throw it out

and start over.

or

place a new piece of paper on top of the old piece

with only a few words on the old

don't you see?

what's beautiful about it

is that you can choose

and only you.
