Pieces

I hear the cars passing by,

Sitting in darkness

Looking at the world,

Changing around me

Don’t know how to adjust

Wish I could freeze all time

For a moment, look back at what my world was

Before this

Before so many things were taken

Just ripped out of me

Pieces of myself I will never get back

Pieces irreplaceable to a person’s heart

Pieces that make up who you are inside.

How do I move on with missing pieces to my life?

There is no replacing that piece,

Piece of me

Only one place where, where I feel whole

My pieces filled with what’s missing

The one place where nothing matters

The one place where I feel at peace

Sitting on the bench, under the tree

Looking at what I have left of you.
