Pieces Crumble

A glance from you shatters stars in the sky

The pieces crumble

They fall into the ocean, where they’re washed by the salt

Of the tears of men whose hearts you’ve broken before mine

And though you’ve hurt me, and those before me

My heart burns on.

It burns brightly and furiously, searching for you

Searching for the pieces that once held my world together.

I’ll sail the oceans until I find you again, my fingers

Will touch every inch of the earth

Until I find you again.
