Pieces of Me

Late night internet creepin and stalkin again

As usual I can't help but go on your facebook profile

I just wanted to see when your birthday was again

Even though I already knew you were a Pisces

I already knew we could make a pretty decent couple

I the water bearer to your domain

I click the about to see your birthday again

Oh look we're both February babies!

My eyes then continue to scan the page

They tear up

It says you're married

Of course you're not actually married

You're just doing that teenager thing

When you're really just in a relationship but you put married because

You love her

A lot

My eyes can no longer hold the flood of tears

I know it's stupid

I don't even talk to you

We're aren't even friends

You probably don't know my name

You're out of my league

That didn't stop me though

From liking you

I remember when I got a glimpse of you

You're pants were all the way up to your waist

A rare trend guys follow now

You were tall

Not just taller than me

But tall

And your hair

So perfect

Then I saw your face

And I thought

He's totally crush worthy

Since then I liked you

My heart skipped beats when I saw you

Hormones racing

You were constantly in my thoughts

My hopes for the future

I daydreamed all the time about the possibilities

How you can possibly make me feel

Better

About romance

About letting feelings out

About myself

Dreamt and hoped and wished

Without putting any effort into my dream

That's why its stupid for me to feel this way

I never did anything but

Dress to impress

Which brought attention

That I liked

I wanted more though

We spoke a collective of

Two times

I wanted more though

But I didn't do anything

My fear of rejection got in the way

My insecurities got in the way

I let myself get in the way

But wait you're married

I think I remember seeing that months ago

Maybe I chose to disbelieve it

Maybe I thought it'll never happen

What's the worry in a crush

My present self would tell my past self

The harm is

Getting crushed

Getting your heart broken

Into shattering pieces of glass

That can never be glued back together

No matter how many times you've tried

Feeling pathetic and lonely

The loneliness you're accustomed to

Grows and swells

To where you cant breathe

It encompasses you in all its darkness

Then you remember him

The shining light in your darkness

Then you remember her

The one he loves

Not you

The darkness immediately blankets me

Again

And again you look at the pieces of glass
