Pill

Sometimes,

though I know my thinking is ill,

I wish this were not just my regular

pill

I wish that this pill would take me down a rabbit hole

Somewhere far away and out of my control

Sometimes,

though it’s contrary to everything I’ve been taught

I wish this

pill

could take me to that place

that so many before me have sought.

Sometimes,

I wish I could have a hole of a different kind

One that was just mine

and everything was still

Just me, my hole, and my

pill
