Pills

See I took a prescription

but I didn’t read the description

In my mission to get rid of the stress,

I took more pills and ended up more depressed,

I’m only 17 and I’m already an addict,

I don’t want to keep poppin but now it’s so automatic,

and the doctors ain’t gonna take me off,

they give out prescriptions just for a cough,

I can’t escape what I have been prescribed,

but I tried and I know if I don’t I’m a die

but it feel right to just pop those pills,

even though they one day they might just kill,

and my parents just keep getting me more

bringing them to the door,

like make sure you take your pill for your depression,

But I can’t seem to bring myself to the confession

a pill with no side effects is too futuristic,

so I gotta get off them before I am a statistic
