The pimples subside and fade

The pimples subside and fade a way

dark black curls take their place

what once was big now is small

for her small I began to fall

suddenly I realized one a hot July day

the veil of childhood had faded away

responsibilities came like a flood

life hit me in the head with a hard loud thud

through the ashes a young man rose

And from then to now, every day he grows
