The pinata

As i was shopping around looking for a pair of pants i needed for an interview, enjoying my day. I let my little girls go play with some toys near by where mommy could see them. Having fun like children will do not to loud. Minding my buisness trying to find what i came looking for. Suddenly i hear a lady in the distance saying "they are ruining those toys" among other things that i couldnt make out. I continue to shop unaware that she was talking about my two little girls. Again i hear other rude remarks so i look up and our eyes meet. Standing over by my children she started to speak to them. Discombobulated. I look down at my kids and back at her. "Are you talking about my kids?" "What did they do?" Walking around with a child in her shoping cart yelling, "You need to get those kids they are messing up eveything", "They broke that pinata". Out of my character. Words were thrown back and forth at that point. The pinata and the other toys were just fine. My two little girls sad and confused wondering what was going on. Realizing that basically she watched us as we came in and watched my kids evey move in there. I was in disbelif.

Long story short racism does exist to this day.
