Pink (With out you)

i woke up and all the trees outside my window were quietly pink

and you were there

you said they were so pretty

not as pretty as you

(i kept that thought to myself)

but like usual you didn’t look at me, not even when i

spoke to you, not even when i

reached out so carefully, not even when i

touched your shoulder

you don’t like remembering your mistakes, do you?

i woke up and you weren’t there
