Pink Roses

The scent of vibrant pink roses is like a warm embrace as I pass flower stand after flower stand

Their delicate petals exude a fragrance sweeter than candy

All they need to be happy is sunlight and water

If only that were the same for me

As I walk past a park with dogs chasing frisbees and parents pushing their kids on swings, I pause for a moment to take in the changing of the seasons

For not only is spring coming, but I feel it will come bearing gifts of renewal and hope.
