Pirates of the North


Loot, ships, terror, waves upon rocks clash Secret caves, concealing a sacred treasure stash Vikings roam, across the high seas their dragon’s dash The rulers of the waters, kings of the waves “Uncivilized men!” the kings of the south rave “Them with no carriages, no roads they pave.” Vikings care not what the “civilized” say To them they are rich supplies who meet their greedy pay Vikings, though not fair of heart, live not for the future but the day Celebrating with food aplenty and horns of mead With brawny brawls, fighting through sweaty beads Vikings, these men of the North The pirates of Iceland search for material worth
