pixels on screens

I am an artist of both word and color

I seek to bring both awe and wonder

though the art I draw is plainly seen

all I write is pixels on a screen

I draw the world in reds blues and greens

I draw monsters and people in different sheens

but deeper things my poetry means

yet they are but pixels on screens

Worlds and stories

heros and follies

and all of these

are pixels on screens

I intend to draw more paper things

my pencil giving life to birds and trees

but soon my art and poetry be

nothing more than pixels on screens
