The Place Id Like To Be

Despair and famine
Litter and grief
Lately, in this world,
The devil seems to be chief

Bullying and cheating
Divorce and unhappiness
This is all that I see
I’d like to share with you the place I’d like to be

I’d like to be in my own personal Narnia
A place that exists just for me
Where the only emoticon is a smiley
And stings didn’t exist, not even in a bee

Unicorns roam the meadows, the sun shines high in the sky
The only slaps are playful ones, the best time of day is the night
Stars gleam down at the stargazers, when we jump we feel so light
When the bats fly under the moon, it’s shining ever so bright

But there can’t be light without the dark,
So we’ll have to wait and see
If this dream of mine will come to life
Or exist merely as the place I’d like to be.
