Plagiarized Country

Without the king life was to be free, brave, and have liberty.

We were to succeed, and rule this land, for ourselves.

We were to be the epitome of greatness, without any one person transcending.

We were supposed to be : America.

America?

The home of the free?

Nothing is free!

You pay for life every time you step out your home.

Home?

Something many do not have the pleasure of going to, because they have no money.

Money?

The thing you work so hard to earn, yet waste on booze, and electronics, just because society's main goal is to have them.

The system has been corrupted for far to long.

This country, OUR country?

I think not.

Built on land not our own, taking from its rightful owners, to be plagiarized as our own!

What is right?

What is wrong?

Will we ever one day truly be able to say,

we have fulfilled our fore fathers dreams?

No! Because, the fact of the matter is,

this may be perceived as our country,

but it is not.

Politics, and mad-men rule this land!

I have no problem, stating the facts,

that in actuality, we have ruined this country.

We allow, elders to be disrespected,

homeless people to starve,

we let criminals walk free, because of the silly rules we live by.

Why?

Why is it more common for a teenage girl to have a child,

than for a teenage girl to go on and have a secondary education?

Why are we afraid to walk the streets late at night?

Questions I know not the answer, but the statement.

This is America.

Next time I walk the dark moonlight mile, I'll simply call-out,

I have Alienable Rights!

The right for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!

Please, do not harm me.
