Plain Jane with a Beautiful Brain

While so many women are fixing their smile

And going to salons to get their hair dyed

I am being told that I have beautiful eyes

But as radiant as your smile could be

And as piercing as your eyes may be

My mind is what is beautiful to me

I don't need your praise

Or your subtle glance

Because while other girls are looking for a dance

I'll be sitting aside with a book in my hand.

As far as you know

I'm just plain Jane

But I know for a fact that I have a beautiful brain.
