Plain White Tee

Black and white piano keys Sing the haunting melody Simply captivating, your smile Means everything to me How dare you leave to become Only a memory to me! Slip through my hands like sand Slip through my hands the way you almost Slipped my mind, until now You always find your way back to me somehow Counting sheep to fall asleep Hopelessly dreaming of the day I will be back in your arms But as I wake to an empty bed With empty sheets And goodbyes in my head, I realize I may never again Feel your heartbeat Through your Plain white tee.
