Plane Ride Home

I'm floating, traveling to a place I never knew.

Flying, gradually, to where chaos is so beautiful.
You're presence is so lovely;
The comfort of your love like a security blanket, which knows only warmth.
Your heart shines like a lighthouse and
I'm lost here at sea
With the twisting and turning waves that
Aim to prey on me
And swallow me up...

You never let them.

I'm not always sure why you tell me
"You're beautiful"
When I know I'm not.
I'm pretty and,
Resourceful and,
Good with words
That like to use my body.

I've never realized
Until now,
That you're my home.
Can I come back
Some time soon?
Because the ache I feel,
Pressing hard at my Rib Cage,
Knows how much you complete
Every sound
Every sight
Every smell
Every taste
Every graceful touch
That you present to me
With a bow and bright wrapping.

Feel my heart, baby,
And know that it reaches for you.
