Platonic love

Dear Friend, I’m in love. But not romantically.
I’ve found my soulmate in the face of a friend. A platonic lover. When I see her I don’t imagine licking her lips and sucking her neck. I instead see us holding hands and watching the stars, us laughing like no tomorrow. I don’t lust her, I need her. Without her I’d crumble. My foundation would fall and my soul would fall with it. I’d rather die with her than live without her. We have plans to leave this place. This backwash town where nothing named freedom could ever exist. Move away and become greater than what we are. If anyone else asked me this I’d take them as crazy; but not her. Never her. I’d hold her close and never leave. I’ve never trusted a person with this much of me, it seems like a scary thing, But she makes it seem easy. I found love, and love found me. She may never see me as I see her, I’ve accepted this. I don’t mind, I know what we have is special and is us. I wouldn’t want it any other way, I wouldn’t want her any other way.
