Play
I keep wishing upon a star, wondering if it's better where you are.
Life down here is such a bore, I don't know if I can handle it anymore.
Our stories were not meant to end, our love we would always send.
Laughs use to fill the halls, as we played with my lovely little dolls.
Years started to pass, and you became just as fragile as glass.
Holding on got harder to do, and I knew our play days were through.
I'm growing up, no longer a lost little pup.
You are slowly slipping away, doctors say it could be any day...
I know things are hard to understand, but someday soon we will get to walk hand in hand.
We will go out and find our day, a day we will, once again, get to play.
