A Played Heart

For a second and only a second i believed i was learning to love....

I had a feeling in my soul that could only have come from the heaven above...

A guy showed affection towards me....

It was new, for that blinded my eyes and the bad things that were there I couldn't see...

And for a while, things were a bliss...

For my love for him grew with every kiss...

But, as months flew by things started to change...

His behavior had started to become strange...

Right when I believed we were alright....

He left my heart and ran off in the night....

And I should have known from the very start...

That from the moment I saw him I'd have a played heart...
