Playground Stars

A magnificently and masterfully mannered prince.

Known in the Jungles as the viciously victorious Vince!

From humble beginnings to a life of grandeur so,

Woeful and wonderful as a Christmas first snow.

The jungles he ruled and ran.

The juggles he schooled and manned.

The Jungles were his, from the swings to the bars,

The vast metal Jungles of the playground stars.

Vincent had already conquered the grounds of play.

Even deemed “King of the Hill” upon mounds of hay.

But he was challenged one sweltering summer’s day,

For the keys to his castle, which he’d never give away.

A duel was in order for the crown,

But Vince was used to bestowing frowns,

Upon his enemy’s faces Vincent could see fear,

And occasionally his enemy’s even shed a tear.

So upon the swings, slide, and monkey bars the games were hosted.

With excitement, glee, and cheer the playground boasted.

To see who would prevail as the king of the games.

The very games that gave champions their names.

But time and time again Vincent prevailed king.

Even today he sits upon his steed and swings.
