Playing with Death

I have been playing games with Death.

No, wait it's true.

I have played with Death since I was two.

The scars in my mind,

from distant memories to hard to find.

Many times it seemed like the game would end.

But he spares me all the same,

And I get to see the beginings of a laugh on his face.

As I traverse back and forth,

Through the depths of my life.

I've had many adventures,

both good and bad,

both happy and sad.

So I can't complain.

So when life decides to take me from this place,

I'll be here savoring.

For I have conquered my demons,

and have settled my score.

And when the crows come calling for more,

I'll have a game waiting,

With, an all too friendly face.
