Playing With Fire

she jumps in then comes back out suffering the same scars everyday nobody understands why but every night neighbors gota listen to her cry it started out with a can of gasoline she became curious about what would be she lit the match and her hell began she tested the heat then she burned her beautiful cheek everyday she hated coming home he would stand there waiting alone one fight after another the match was lit again she hid the scar from her friends she smiled but her eyes displayed the pain and she was frightened by the sound of his name she insisted the fire would be put out friends told her to leave the house because they knew they tried to help but she played deaf to their pleas then she went home to fall to her knees this was a daily routine but her excuses changed like seasons she loved him and he loved to abuse her the fire proved too much for her and she finally jumped out for the last time that's the last time she'll ever play with fire
