Playlists

I am often asked,

"Why do you have so many playlists?

It's not like you listen to all of them."

But it's not about that.

Sure, I like listening to music,

Letting the instruments and the words convey emotions

That I did not know I feel

Yet it is always exactly how I feel.

But sometimes, I don't even need to listen.

I can organize the music,

Put it in a list, all the songs together

Until they create a picture in my mind.

A playlist can create one completed emotion

Made out of all the smaller emotions the music expresses and I feel.

So I do have a lot of playlists

(46 to be specific)

But it is not about the music,

Or maybe it is,

Or maybe it is just about the emotions

That I can organize and express,

And put a nice title with,

And then leave it for a time when I need it most.
