The Pleasant Pagan

Be good,You Pleasant Pagan

Be nice,You Pleasing Peon

You were born of good stock

You were bred with goodness in the marrow of your bones

You were raised to bring Honor to your kith and kin

Do not disgrace them by taking up the magick of your birthland

The magick of your  birthland is hoodoo

Oh you poor cradle holy child....

Yes,You want to take up the folkways magical of your ancestors

Hoodoo is there and it is calling out to you,it seems

You Choirboy who sings with your elders on sunday mornings...

the songs of zion, the praises of the most High...

How long can you dodge Hoodoo?

You did it with those apples, salt, and pepper many years ago.

What stops you now,you ladylover who longs for the same one who has

your heart in tow with her.
